Kirkland/Seattle, WA

Company:
We are one of the world's largest hedge funds that specializes in the trading of global futures and foreign exchange markets. The firm has several investment vehicles; the primary of which has a >15 year track record characterized by consistent risk adjusted returns. We employ over 40 professionals in a collegial and team-oriented environment.

Role:
We are seeking an exceptional software developer. Development team members design, implement, maintain and enhance mission-critical applications through a combination of C#, C++, Delphi, Java and database development. This particular role focuses mainly on Delphi development.

Responsibilities Include:
· Meeting the requests of the project/business owners in a timely manner and assisting in requirement formulation. Being a valuable team member.
· Communicating the status of active projects.
· Documentation of all processes.
· Knowledge of best practices in the areas of application design, performance, scalability and maintainability.
· Communicating with technical support staff.

Required Experience:
· At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
· Expertise in Borland Delphi software development
· Experience in some or all of the following (they are listed in priority order):
o Microsoft SQL Server
o C#
o C++
o Java / Borland JBuilder
o Mathworks Matlab
· Significant programming skills including object oriented design.

Additional:
· Willingness to embrace and learn the above skills and others as needed/required.
· Strong communication skills including verbal and written, report writing and presentation.
· Keen interest in mathematical, statistical and financial concepts.
· Must be comfortable communicating with and understanding the needs of senior management.
· Local candidates only.
· Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
· Full-time or contract-to-hire considered

Compensation:
(Depends on experience.)
